1500 fresh live ladybugs. We are the only seller on ebay that really does harvest their bugs everyday to make sure that only the freshest, best quality bugs are shipped to our customers. We do not refrigerate the bugs for extended lengths of time until they are sold.  We have bugs in stock, no waiting.
READ THIS REGARDING USPS SHIPPING:
USPS is delaying delivery of many packages due to loss of overtime and lack of transportation due to the virus. Delays range from 1 day to as much as 8 days. The ladybugs have not had any problem surviving the extended time in transit, they have survived much longer than that.  Because of the delays we are now offering other shipping options, priority mail and priority express mail. Standard first class is free, priority mail is $5.00 additional, priority mail express is $38.00 additional.  If you buy 4 or more we will upgrade to priority mail for free. To upgrade single orders, click on “shipping details” on the listing page then choose the upgrade and click on it. Four or more, do nothing and we will upgrade it for free.
Ebay can’t seem to get any shipping details right, they estimate either to short of a time or too long of a time.  So, use my guide here to figure what the actual time will be. If you place an order, our handling time is 1 – 2 business days, if you order on a Monday, we will ship no later than Wednesday and delivery will generally take 2 – 4 days but keep in mind, the post office is short handed right now and the have shipping delays. Check out the USPS website for more info on that. Saturday and Sunday are not business days and as much as we would like to ship on Saturday, we can’t. USPS will not accept live animal shipments on Saturdays ever. Therefore, if you order on a Thursday or Friday, chances are we won’t ship until Monday.
Some people think we control the post office, we do not. Once the package is in their hands we can do nothing about how long they take to deliver,  If the delay is long or the package is lost, we will replace the shipment if there is an excessive amount of dead bugs. The bugs are very sturdy, they have survived up to 3 weeks in transit many times. If you should happen to get DOA bugs, do not dispose of them, you may be required to return them for a refund or replacement. Last but not least, we respond to inquiries that are calm and non accusing a whole lot better than those that have us as a target to vent their frustration on. We do not like being accused of things that we have no control over and if you do, we get upset and respond in a like manner.
I am aware that 1500 bugs does not look like 1500 should, however 1/3 of a cup is 1500 bugs. I have measured and counted the bugs from 1/3 of a cup and that is correct. Every order we sell has the bugs measured first, bagged, then weighed before shipping.  We do not store excess bugs, we really do harvest our bugs every day.
DOA bug disclaimer:
Please have someone available to receive the package when delivered or have your post office
hold for pick up. Packages left in mailboxes or unattended in areas exposed to direct sunlight or other source of high or low temperatures may result in dead ladybugs.  It is your responsibility, not ours, to take whatever steps are needed to prevent overheated bugs.
Watch
out for second hand vendors, the bugs they sell have been shipped to
them where they keep them refrigerated until they sell. These bugs will
not live as long as fresh bugs and may carry disease and parasites that
will harm your plants.
Scientific studies have shown that as much as 20% of ladybugs gathered in the wild may be infested with fungus, parasites or predator wasps. We take a random selection from all incoming ladybugs and screen them for any signs of infestation. They are crawl cleaned, fed and hydrated prior to shipment. Your plants are valuable, don’t be fooled by low cost imitators, use only genuine High Sierra Brand Ladybugs.
What we do that the others don’t:
1) We screen a sample of ladybugs from each
harvest to make sure that our bugs are disease and parasite free.
2) Every ladybug we ship has passed our proprietary test that culls out
any ladybugs that are not of premium quality. The culled bugs are
either sold wholesale to other sellers or released back into the wild.
3) We donate ladybugs to schools, girl scouts,
and other charities on a regular basis.
4) We provide ladybugs at no cost to Universities and scientific foundations
for study.
5) We hydrate and pre-feed the bugs prior to shipment
6) We provide the best customer service on ebay.
What we don’t do that the others do:
1) We do not refrigerate our bugs.
2) We do not make misleading statements in order to make a sale.
3) We do not over harvest, we only collect the amount of bugs that we feel
are needed to fill the following weeks orders.
